Creating a TaxSlayer® Practice Lab Account

• Click here to get started https://vita.taxslayerpro.com/IRSTraining

• Enter the Universal Password: TRAINPROWEB

  • This will allow you through the GATEWAY into the training platform called Practice Lab.

  • This is the GATEWAY through which you pass each time you sign into the Practice Lab.

  • The Password you enter on this screen will always be

    • TRAINPROWEB

• Now create your personal account

• Select: Create Account (see screenshot below)
  

• Enter your personal information on Create New Account page (see screenshot below)

  • Your email address (enter this twice)

  • Choose a Username.
    Tip! Incorporate the word ‘Train’ or ‘Practice’ into your Username to distinguish this Practice account that will have ‘dummy’ tax returns in it from your ‘production’ account that you will use during the tax season for actual taxpayers. ex. If your name is Jerry Seinfeld, you might choose trainjs as your username.

  • Enter a password that has the following attributes

    • alphanumeric (use letters and numbers)

    • at least 15 characters

    • contains at least one upper AND one lowercase letter

    • use at least one special character: for example ! # $ % ? /

  • Select a Security Question

  • Provide an answer to your question

  • Click the green Create Account button at the bottom of the page.

• You are almost there!

• PLEASE WRITE YOUR ANSWERS DOWN and keep them with you.
  Click here for a template to print and fill in with your personal entries for account creation.

• By clicking on the green Create Account button (in step above), you are brought back to the Sign In page.

• NOW you will SELECT the Sign In option and use the Username and Password that you just created.
